Techstars and LEAP are hosting a FREE twice-a-month series of founder stories and entrepreneurship workshops for the greater Louisville region. If you are a current founder, interested in becoming an entrepreneur, joining a startup team, or being more entrepreneurial in your job or life, this is for you. Join us on Wednesday, July 24 from 5:00 - 6:30PM for a hands-on workshop about demystifying the cap table.

Who is this workshop for?

David's session is meant for current and would-be entrepreneurs who want to better understand cap tables and financing structures. He demystifies the sometimes overwhelming technical jargon, breaking it down into terms and concepts that even first-time entrepreneurs with no prior exposure can easily understand.

Who is David?

At Thompson Hine, David Willbrand is the Chairperson of the firm's Early Stage & Emerging Company Practice. He primarily works with tech and biotech entrepreneurs, emerging companies, early-stage investors and venture capital funds. He formerly worked in the software industry as CFO and General Counsel at a series of venture-backed companies. He teaches “Mergers & Acquisitions” at the University of Michigan Law School, and “Startups, Venture Capital and Private Equity” at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He's a lecturer at the nationally-ranked Miami University Institute for Entrepreneurship, where he also serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the 2018-2019 academic year.
