You’re invited! Techstars and LEAP are hosting a FREE series of founder stories and entrepreneurship workshops for the greater Louisville region. If you are a current founder, interested in becoming an entrepreneur, joining a startup team, or being more entrepreneurial in your job or life, this is for you. Join us on Tuesday, July 9th from 5:00 - 6:30PM for a hands-on workshop about how to pitch. Who is this workshop for? Everyone who needs to pitch something to someone. The focus will be on raising money. Everyone has to learn how to pitch their idea at some point. This workshop will provide both high level strategies (what to focus on, how to lay out, what type of follow ups) as well as specific tactical tips n tools for both presenting as well as the format. I have raised venture dollars as well as invested. I have lived on both sides of the money. I have also worked with hundreds of founders through my own accelerator helping them prepare for demo day. I can help you too. It is my secret sauce. Who is Chris? Chris Heivly is Techstars' VP of Innovation Chris is one of the nation’s leading experts in how to turn startups into multimillion-dollar companies and has been dubbed the “Startup Whisperer.” For over 30 years, Heivly has worked at the highest levels for some of the world’s most recognized brands, including MapQuest, Rand McNally, and Accenture. He has also personally directed over $75 million in investment capital on behalf of these and other companies. Chris currently has served as one of two managing directors of The Startup Factory, the largest seed investment firm in the Southeast.
