The Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce will present their Minority Business Accelerator program. This gold standard initiative was created in 2003 and implements a bold vision and strategic plan to grow the aggregate annual revenues of minority businesses in the region by $1 billion and subsequently create an incremental 3,500 jobs by year-end 2022. Hear how they got this program started and the incredible strides they are making as the “Inclusive Chamber”. Join GLI and Presenting Sponsor, Papa John’s, for the kick-off of the 2020 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Series. Each session in this series will highlight one of the five workstream focus areas within the newly formed Business Council to End Racism; developed in an effort to uncover the inequities within the city and region. Workstream areas of study are-racial equity as a focus as it relates to inclusion of minority business enterprises, education, workforce development and barriers, health care access, and law enforcement and criminal justice reforms. Hear from regional and national speakers as we discuss and plan tangible outcomes for this work. The first discussion in this series will focus on Inclusion in business enterprises & talent.
