On Monday, September 21^st we will be welcoming Colleen Crum to lead a discussion at Open Coffee. Colleen is deeply involved with the sustainability movement happening in Louisville. She is the Director of Development and Market Research for the Kentucky Sustainable Business Council which advocates for policies that promote a sustainable economy with a triple bottom line philosophy, a Co-Founder of Retree Shively, and an event planner for the Louisville Sustainability Council. Colleen also has expertise in new business development and economic development for sustainable services. Colleen works with and represents a group of people who are very passionate and who want to make Louisville and the region a top caliber city in sustainability. They are very similar to the entrepreneurs and people who work tirelessly to make Louisville a destination city for start-ups and entrepreneurship. These two visions for the city are not mutually exclusive and do not have to be pursued in silos. Colleen will discuss with us ways we can all work together and generate synergy between the two passionate movements. She will also share best practices from her group's work to bring about change in the city. Their latest work being the Solar Over Louisville campaign that recently got the Metro Council to pass a “strongly worded resolution” in their support of increasing solar power for Louisville.
