Join us as Clifton Taulbert discusses how an entrepreneurial mindset can take you anywhere, as his storied life illustrates. Born and raised in the Mississippi Delta at the height of legal segregation, Taulbert learned important life lessons from a most unlikely entrepreneur - his uncle Cleve, whose life-changing influence profoundly influenced Taulbert's future. Taulbert is a Pulitzer-nominated author of 14 books, has worked as a banker, educator, business owner, helped bring the StairMaster exercise program to the world in the 80s, and is currently the President/CEO of The Freemount Corporation and Roots Java Company, a national coffee supply company wholly owned by African Americans. He has been recognized by Time Magazine as one of America's top emerging entrepreneurs. Taulbert's talk is part of the Center for Free Enterprise's Menard Family Lecture Series. It is free and open to all. Refreshments will be served.
